俄亥俄州毗鄰賓州的東北部小鎮發生火車出軌意外，引發熊熊大火。當地報導指出，當局已下令民眾緊急撤離家園，前往安全地點避難。
美聯社報導，俄亥俄州東巴勒斯坦鎮（East Palestine）當局於深夜11時許在臉書專頁發文，對從詹姆斯街（James Street）平交道路口起1.6公里範圍內居民發布撤離令，並在東巴勒斯坦鎮高中設置收容中心。
這起事故截至目前無傷亡通報。
美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）報導，現場照片顯示列車車廂遭到濃煙烈焰吞噬。
東巴勒斯坦鎮長康納威（Trent Conaway）於晚間新聞發布會表示，賓州、俄亥俄州、西維吉尼亞州的消防隊員在現場打火。美國環境保護署（EPA）正在監控當地空氣品質。
KDKA電視台（KDKA-TV）報導，暫時無法得知火車出軌原因和載運貨物內容。
從KDKA電視台的推特帳號上傳影片中，可以看到警察開車用擴音器沿街要求居民撤離。電視台指出，多個消防隊在現場灌救，從一定距離外拍攝的畫面可以看到橘黃色烈焰直衝天際。
KDKA電視台引述諾福克南方鐵路公司（Norfolk Southern Railway）聲明指出，公司正與當地先遣急救員密切協調。
東巴勒斯坦鎮位在賓州城市匹茲堡（Pittsburgh）西北方大約82公里處，人口約5000人。
