世界日報秉持「正派辦報」的理念，致力提供準確、公正、獨立且具公共利益價值的新聞資訊，服務美國華人及其他少數族裔社群。我們相信，優質新聞是民主社會的重要基石，也是促進社區參與、文化交流與公共對話的重要力量。

一、追求真實與準確

我們堅持新聞內容必須建立於事實基礎，並遵循下列原則：

• 盡可能向第一手消息來源查證。
• 重要資訊至少經過適當交叉驗證。
• 清楚區分事實、分析及評論。
• 不刻意誇大、斷章取義或誤導讀者。
• 標題、照片及影片不得造成內容失真。

二、編輯獨立

我們維持新聞編採獨立，不受任何政府、政黨、商業利益團體、廣告客戶、捐助者或其他外部力量影響新聞內容。

所有新聞採訪及編輯決定均以公共利益及新聞價值為依據，不因廣告合作、商業關係或政治立場而改變報導方向。廣告、贊助內容及新聞報導均清楚區隔，避免混淆讀者。

三、公平、公正與多元觀點

我們尊重不同族群、文化、宗教及政治觀點，並努力：

• 提供完整背景資訊。
• 讓相關各方有合理表達意見的機會。
• 避免刻板印象、歧視或偏見。
• 尊重少數族裔及弱勢社群。

四、利益衝突

新聞工作者應避免任何可能影響新聞獨立性的利益衝突，包括但不限於：

• 不接受可能影響新聞判斷之禮品、利益或報酬。
• 不利用採訪工作謀取私人利益。
• 如涉及個人、親屬或商業利益，應主動揭露並迴避相關採訪或編輯工作。

五、尊重個人權益

我們尊重新聞當事人的人格尊嚴與隱私權。涉及兒童、犯罪被害人、醫療資訊或其他敏感案件時，將特別考量公共利益與個人權益之平衡，避免造成二度傷害。

六、使用人工智慧（AI）

世界日報可使用人工智慧工具協助翻譯、資料整理、文字潤飾或行政作業，但所有新聞內容均須經由編輯人員審核與事實查證，並適度揭露。

AI不得取代新聞判斷，不得捏造消息來源、引述內容或影像，也不得生成未經查證的新聞資訊。

七、透明與問責

我們歡迎讀者提出意見、質疑或補充資訊，並將秉持公開透明態度回應合理建議，持續提升新聞品質與公信力。

世界日報重視新聞準確性，若發現報導存在錯誤或重大遺漏，將依下列原則迅速處理。

一、更正原則

凡經確認之事實錯誤，均應於確認後儘速更正。內容包括但不限於：

• 人名、職稱或機構名稱
• 日期、地點或數據
• 引述內容
• 法律、政策或公共資訊
• 其他可能影響讀者理解的重要事實

二、更正方式

依錯誤性質採取適當措施，包括但不限於：

1. 文字修正：針對拼字、格式或不影響新聞內容理解之輕微錯誤，得直接修正。
2. 公開更正：涉及重要事實錯誤時，我們將更新新聞內容，並附上更正說明，指出已更正的內容及註明更正日期。
3. 撤稿：如報導內容因重大事實錯誤、無法證實或違反新聞倫理，不再適合保留時，我們會撤下報導，並於需要時說明撤稿原因。

三、讀者回報

讀者若發現新聞可能存在錯誤，可透過電子郵件、網站聯絡表單或其他官方聯絡方式通知我們。編輯部將儘速查證，必要時與相關人士聯繫，並依本政策辦理更正。

四、更正紀錄

重大更正將保留更正紀錄，以維持新聞透明度及讀者信任。

World Journal is guided by the principle of "journalism with integrity and professionalism." We are committed to providing accurate, fair, independent, and public-interest journalism that serves Chinese American communities and other ethnic minority populations in the United States.

We believe that quality journalism is a cornerstone of a healthy democracy and plays a vital role in promoting civic engagement, cultural understanding, and informed public dialogue.

I. Commitment to Truth and Accuracy

We are committed to ensuring that all news content is factual, accurate, and responsibly reported. To achieve this, we adhere to the following principles:

• Verify information with primary or original sources whenever possible.
• Confirm significant facts through appropriate independent verification.
• Clearly distinguish factual reporting from analysis and opinion.
• Avoid exaggeration, selective quotation, or misleading presentation of information.
• Ensure that headlines, photographs, videos, and other visual elements accurately reflect the content of the story.

II. Editorial Independence

World Journal maintains complete editorial independence. Our news coverage is not influenced by governments, political parties, commercial interests, advertisers, donors, or any other external parties.

Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of newsworthiness and the public interest. Advertising relationships, business interests, sponsorships, or political viewpoints do not influence our reporting. Advertising, sponsored content, and editorial content are clearly identified and separated to avoid confusing readers.

III. Fairness, Impartiality, and Diversity of Perspectives

We respect diverse ethnic backgrounds, cultures, religions, and political viewpoints. We strive to:

• Provide sufficient context to help readers understand issues accurately.
• Give relevant parties a reasonable opportunity to present their perspectives.
• Avoid stereotypes, discrimination, and bias.
• Treat ethnic minority communities and vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.

IV. Conflicts of Interest

Journalists and editorial staff must avoid any actual or perceived conflicts of interest that could compromise editorial independence, including but not limited to:

• Not accepting gifts, favors, payments, or other benefits that could influence editorial judgment.
• Not using journalistic work for personal gain.
• Disclosing and recusing themselves from reporting or editorial decisions involving personal, family, or business interests.

V. Respect for Individual Rights

We respect the dignity, privacy, and legal rights of individuals featured in our reporting. When reporting on children, crime victims, medical information, or other sensitive matters, we carefully balance the public's right to know with the protection of individual rights and privacy, while seeking to minimize unnecessary harm.

VI. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

World Journal may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with translation, research organization, language editing, or administrative tasks. However, all editorial content is reviewed by qualified editors, verified for factual accuracy, and accompanied by appropriate disclosure when AI has been used in a manner relevant to the production of editorial content.

AI will not replace editorial judgment. It will not be used to fabricate sources, quotations, images, or news content, nor will it generate unverified information.

VII. Transparency and Accountability

We welcome feedback, questions, corrections, and additional information from our readers.

We are committed to responding to legitimate concerns in an open and transparent manner while continuously improving the accuracy, credibility, and quality of our journalism.

World Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in our journalism. If a published report contains an error or significant omission, we will address it promptly and transparently in accordance with the following policy.

I. Principles for Corrections

Any confirmed factual error will be corrected as soon as reasonably possible after verification. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Names of individuals, job titles, or organizations
• Dates, locations, or numerical data
• Quotations or attributed statements
• Laws, public policies, or official information
• Any other material facts that could affect readers' understanding of a story

II. Methods of Correction

We will determine the appropriate corrective action based on the nature and significance of the error, including but not limited to the following:

1. Minor Edits:
   Minor errors, such as spelling, grammar, formatting, or other inaccuracies that do not affect the meaning or substance of the story, may be corrected without a formal correction notice.


2. Public Corrections:
   When a correction involves a significant factual error, we will update the article and include a correction note identifying what was corrected and, where appropriate, the date of the correction.


3. Retractions:
   If a story contains a serious factual error, cannot be adequately verified, or is found to violate our journalistic ethics, we may remove the content and publish an explanation of the reason for the retraction if necessary.

III. Reader Feedback

Readers who believe a published story contains an error are encouraged to notify us through email, our website contact form, or other official communication channels.

Our editorial team will review all credible reports, conduct the necessary fact-checking, consult relevant sources when appropriate, and make corrections in accordance with this policy.

IV. Correction Records

For significant corrections, we will maintain an appropriate correction record to promote transparency and preserve readers' trust.

V. Continuous Improvement

World Journal regularly reviews its editorial processes and strengthens staff training, editorial oversight, and fact-checking procedures to improve the quality and accuracy of our journalism.
